Hey, so before y'all get weird ideas in your head I’m not pulling my reasoning out of my ass so don’t worry about that. I’m 16 years old thus underage and I don’t support p*dophilia in any way. Most of my ideology is based on personal facts so if you don’t think I’m right that’s your choice. Okay… So here’s the thing: my parents have a 14 year age gap and before you start accusing my father of being a p*dophile I’m stopping you right there because I know damn well that my dad isn’t like that. My parents met when they were both adults so they had no idea of their age gap until they asked eachother, you may think that it’s easy to see the difference but the truth is that starting a certain age our body stops growing. For girls it’s generally when they’re 21 and for guys when they’re 24. At that point it’s really hard to see how old the person in front of you is. Growing up in a household with parents having that much years of difference is actually pretty normal, honestly I didn’t think about that too much until I was like 12 or so, and I can tell you there’s nothing wrong going on in their relationship and even people from the outside don’t find it strange. Heck, they can’t even tell their age gap. And before you say that maybe “it must be normal in your country” Nope. I live in Belgium, a small and safe European country, you can do some research on it’s laws or whatever if you want to but having a couple like my parents is, I think , despite being pretty rare not seen in any “gross” way. This way reasoning is wrong. Shipping Ray with Zack is not wrong because of their age difference, is wrong because Ray is still a child. Yes, it would be different and age wouldn’t matter that much if Ray was already 18 years old, if she was already an adult, but no, she’s 13. Yeah, I read everything and I agree with a lot of things you said. As long as you’re acting polite it’s easy to see that you don’t have any bad intentions. However I don’t think that ZackRay normalizes unhealthy relationships or anything of the sort. I can’t speak for everyone of course but I think that kids nowadays are rarely gullible, with the internet in their reach, they become more aware at younger and younger ages. I’m sure that sometimes some unfortunate events happen but it’s hard to say that it’s only because of some “ships”. There’s a lot of other factors like maybe the minor being neglected by their parents and choosing to trust an adult they met god knows where.
